DESCRIPTION:Katsuya Soda\, refugee activist\, founder of Kyoto community FM radio program on refugees\, “Nanmin Now!”\, and part-time teacher at Ryukoku University hosts a talk with special guests including\, a refugee living in Japan. In this talk they discuss the meaning of the word “refugee” and the impact of the term itself through his/her first-hand experience. \n[Co-organized with]\nNANMIN NOW!\n\n\nKatsuya Soda \nBorn in Kyoto\, 1966. He got a Ph.D. from Graduate School of Policy and Management\, Doshisha University. Since 2004\, he has been hosting a radio program on refugee “NANMIN NOW!”. He is one of the members of Japan Forum for UNHCR and NGOs (J-FUN) and also teaches at Ryukoku University and Kobe Shinwa Women’s University.
