DESCRIPTION:Make your own bookcover from the traditional & authentic fabrics of the kakejiku. You will also able to hear interesting stories about techniques of restoration of cultural assets and history of Kyo Hyogu. The workshop will be held in Japanese (English and French translation is available for production instructions upon request). Number of seats are limited and booking is required.\n\nAbout Usami Shokakudo\nA Japanese mounting artisan that has a history of 230 years. Since the foundation\, the business is based in front of Nishi Hongwanji. After the World War II\, as the request by the Japanese government\, it established a branch at Kyoto National Museum for repair and preservation of cultural asset including paintings\, calligraphy\, and textiles.
