He got a Ph.D. from Graduate School of Policy and Management, Doshisha University. Since 2004, he has been hosting a radio program on refugee \u201cNANMIN NOW!\u201d. He is one of the members of Japan Forum for UNHCR and NGOs (J-FUN) and also teaches at Ryukoku University and Kobe Shinwa Women\u2019s University.
