Katsuya Soda, refugee activist, founder of Kyoto community FM radio program on refugees, \u201cNanmin Now!\u201d, and part-time teacher at Ryukoku University hosts a talk with special guests including, a refugee living in Japan. In this talk they discuss the meaning of the word \u201crefugee\u201d and the impact of the term itself through his\/her first-hand experience.<\/p>\n

Katsuya Soda<\/p>\n

Born in Kyoto, 1966. He got a Ph.D. from Graduate School of Policy and Management, Doshisha University. Since 2004, he has been hosting a radio program on refugee \u201cNANMIN NOW!\u201d. He is one of the members of Japan Forum for UNHCR and NGOs (J-FUN) and also teaches at Ryukoku University and Kobe Shinwa Women\u2019s University. He used be a comedian at Yoshimoto Creative Agency for 5 years.<\/div><\/div>\n
