1970年生まれ。96年ドキュメンタリージャパン参加。 以降、NHKや民放でドキュメンタリー番組を多数演出。 2012年、初監督作品となる『ニッポンの嘘 報道写真家 福島菊次郎９０歳』公開。 第86回キネマ旬報ベスト・テン文化映画第1位、第67回毎日映画コンクールドキュメンタリー映画賞、 2012年度日本映画ペンクラブ文化映画 ベスト1など、12年度の主要映画賞を3冠受賞。 最新作『広河隆一 人間の戦場』公開中。
